Still get hangs when posting. The server fails to refresh the page leaving me with "Waiting for ubuntuforums.org". Canceling the connection shows the edits have been accepted by the server, but the browser hangs. This has been a pretty consistent problem for months now, I'm sorry to say, and not one I have experienced on other vBulletin installations.
If you ask for help, do not abandon your request. Please have the courtesy to check for responses and thank the people who helped you.

slickymaster, my local system time is deliberately off by more than several minutes. Thus I would think my date -u output to be somewhat useless here. That's why I've been using the time from the forum index page.
Given that I do need the system time to be offset like it is, how would you suggest I get a useful timestamp?
